Dyson Centre for Engineering Design

The Dyson Centre Wind Tunnel is available for undergraduates to use for 3rd and 4th year projects, societies and personal use.

The cross section of the working section is approximately 350mm (wide) by 250mm (high), and so a typical maximum set of dimensions for test pieces might be around 120mm (wide) by 80mm (high). We have a smoke machine which can also be used to help visualise experiments within the tunnel.

For further information on using the wind tunnel please email the Dyson Centre Manager. Please include as much information as reasonably possible as to what you want to use the wind tunnel for. Alternatively come along and see us in person at the Dyson Managers Desk.
